Founded by John Reed Hilliard in 1853, Hilliard is bordered by Big Darby Creek on the West, and the Scioto River to the East.  The railroad station for the Piqua/Indiana line was an ideal gateway between industry and agriculture.  The original train station has been restored and is now a part of Weaver Park.  Hilliard is a wonderful blend of old and new.  Historic Old Hilliard invites you to enjoy a leisurely lunch in one of our excellent restaurants.  Our green spaces call for you to experience the “Rails to Trails” walking path, or visit historic Weaver Park.
